Both World Cup directors and their assistant for technical disciplines visited Kranjska Gora.
The director of the Alpine Skiing World Cup for men, Marcus Waldner, and his assistant for technical disciplines, Janez Hladnik, as well as the director of the Alpine Skiing World Cup for women, Peter Gerdol, visited Kranjska Gora and had an in-depth discussion with representatives of the organizing committee about the past season and preparations for the next season and the preparation of the terrain for the World Cup competitions in Kranjska Gora. In addition to the aforementioned FIS representatives, representatives of the company TechnoAlpin, which supplies technical snowmaking equipment, were also in Kranjska Gora.
Marcus Waldner emphasized that "we had a large meeting with the participation of the owners or managers of the ski resort, and the meeting was also attended by experts from TechnoAlpin, who are responsible for snowmaking. We came to conclusions on how the track will be prepared from December, when the first snow begins to fall, until March."
Kranjska Gora and the Vitranc slope will host this season, in addition to the men's race in early March 2025, the women's World Cup race, which will be scheduled in early January 2025.
President of the Vitranc Cup Organizing Committee Gregor Benedik added: "FIS wants to have 70 cm of packed snow on the course by December. We and the ski resort manager have received the necessary assurances that we will prepare the course in a manner befitting a World Cup race."
