The World Cup director visited Kranjska Gora together with his assistant for technical disciplines.
The director of the men's Alpine Skiing World Cup, Marcus Waldner, and his assistant for technical disciplines, Janez Hladnik, visited Kranjska Gora and held talks with representatives of the organising committee about the past season and preparations for the coming season, as well as the preparation of the terrain for the World Cup races in Kranjska Gora.
Kranjska Gora and the Vitranc slope will host the men's race at the beginning of March 2026 and the women's World Cup race at the beginning of January 2026.
The president of the Pokala Vitranc OC, Gregor Benedik, added: "As last year, the FIS would like to see 70 cm of compacted snow on the slope by December. They have received the necessary assurances from us and the ski resort operator that we will prepare the slope as required for World Cup races. Together, we will also make some investments that will help us achieve this."
In addition to the aforementioned representatives of the FIS, representatives of TechnoAlpin, a company that supplies equipment for the production of artificial snow, were also present in Kranjska Gora.
