The organizers of the Vitranc Cup were surprised by the news of the sudden death of one of the most famous and probably also the best Slovenian sports journalists, Vito Divac. Vito has been following the Vitranc Cup since the 1970s. First as a part-time contributor to the Delo newspaper, and then as a correspondent for the Tanjug agency. He ended his career at the media where he started it.
At the Vitranc Cup, we will remember him as an excellent writer who always dedicated flattering words to our event. He knew how to find a positive meaning in every thing, besides he found it difficult to refuse a request for help. Dear Vito, rest in peace and may a bright star shine in the sky for you.
