Golden Fox last weekend in Kranjska Gora was a good practice before the races for the Vitranc Cup
Podkoren World Cup race track, which replaced the race track on Mariborsko Pohorje due to lack of snow, for the first time experienced a race in a safe environment, which is required by the International ski Federation (FIS) in a given epidemiological situation. Colleagues from the Maribor club Branik carried the lion's share while working on and along the track, but a good number of workers from the Vitranc Cup, who know the track and the scene as a whole, were on the field with them.
Given the excellent implementation of all measures to prevent the spread of covid-19 disease, our workers also from the operation in the bubble or the so-called snowflake learned a lot and will be able to pass on their experience to other colleagues who will come to help prepare the venue for the 60th Vitranc Cup in March 2021.
Despite the fact that we would like more than 15,000 spectators and fans in two days of competitions at the end of one of the most difficult slopes in the World Cup, this year it seems that this will not be feasible. A real party on the occasion of the 60th anniversary will have to wait a bit.
