Despite the general belief that the Upper Carniola region is a land of stingy people, they have just proved to be quite the opposite. The Cup Vitranc awards cash prizes to the best 30 competitors. The winner will thus be awarded CHF 40,000, second best CHF 24,000, and the third best CHF 12,000.
The competitors taking 24 to 30 place will receive CHF 400. Prize-fund for each of the two races is worth CHF 112,500.
