The director of the World Cup and his assistant for technical disciplines saw the innovations on the race pitch in Podkoren.
The director of the Alpine Ski World Cup for men, Marcus Waldner, and his assistant for technical disciplines, Janez Hladnik, viewed the World Cup race course in Podkoren with all the new features that were arranged this summer at the RTC inice Kranjska Gora. Waldner and Hladnik walked along the track in the company of the president of theLOC Vitranc Cup Gregor Benedik, the head of the competition committee Ale Vidic and his adviser Janez mitek.
Marcus Waldner was visibly impressed by the updates and extensions of the course and said: "We went to the start of the giant slalom course and were impressed by what we saw. They are investing a lot. They also built a new chairlift on the other side in Kranjska Gora. Some parts of the ski area have been greatly expanded".
This season, Kranjska Gora and the track in Podkoren will host, in addition to the men's race, a women's race for the World Cup, which will be held at the beginning of January 2023.
