Bor Pavlovčič, a well known young ski jumper from Mojstrana, not far from Kranjska Gora, is the ambassador of the Kranjska Gora Team and a nephew of the former Slovenian alpine skier Uroš Pavlovčič, who also competed at the Vitranc Cup and even stood on the podium in 2001.
On the occasion of the 60th jubilee of this prestigious ski competition, Bor wrote the following :
"I have always seen the Vitranc Cup as a kind of a warm-up before the ski-jumping spectacle in Planica. Unfortunately, we also have competitions at this time, so I haven't been able to follow the Vitranc Cup ski races in recent years. But sometimes, if there was an opportunity, I also watched it live. As for my uncle Uro, I am very happy that he achieved his greatest sports success on home soil, his feelings on the podium must have therefore been even more intense. I would also like to experience something similar myself one day. I wish the Vitranc Cup plenty of successful competitions in the years to come. Good luck!
