Instead of giant slalom and slalom races, there will be two giant slalom races at the Vitranc Cup in the 2021/2022 season.
The Vitranc Cup traditionally marks the last competition weekend before the final of the FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup. This season, the races will take place on March 12th and 13th, 2022, after the athletes return from the Winter Olympics in Beijing and before leaving for the finals in Courchevel and Meribel.
This year's variation of the traditional Vitranc Cup, which usually includes Saturday's giant slalom and Sunday's slalom race, are two giant slalom races. Both on Saturday the 12th and on Sunday the 13th of March, the giant slalom will be scheduled. Given that the season is just beginning, we in the organizing committee want Slovenian competitors to rank in the highest places this season.
The presence of spectators at the Vitranc Cup has not yet been determined, as the health situation will continue to change, to which the organizing committee will have to adapt promptly.
