Tomorrow and Sunday, the slope in Podkoren will host the world's best skiers at the 62nd Vitranc Cup.
After the nights rain and thaw, our racecourse workers managed to prepare good terrain for the best skiers in the world. They are starting the giant slalom race for the 62nd Vitranc Cup.
The start is at 1278 metres above sea level and the finish at 836 metres. The competitors face an altitude difference of 442 metres. The steepest incline on the Podkoren racecourse is right at the start, with 59 %. At the end of the racecourse, the finish slope, with a 42 % gradient, will make sure that already tired skiers' legs hurt a little bit more.
Come and cheer too! See you there!
