The first slalom course was in favour of yesterdays winner Benjamin Raich, who was followed by fellow countryman Mario Matt, and Finnish races Kalle Pallander. Slovenians will be represented by two skiers in the second run: Mitja Valeni came 25th, and Mitja Dragi 27th. Unfortunately, Bernard Vajdi, who came 38th, was too slow for the second run while Drago Grubelnik and Ale Gorza did not finish the race.
