The second run of today's slalom is also finished now and the happiest end went to Giorgio Rocca of Italy who won the first place. The second place went to the Canadian Ted Ligety. The Slovenes had three competitors in the second run: Drago Grubelnik took the 12th place, Bernard Vajdi the 21 st and, Ale Gorza the 24th. We can say that the race was a success. The spectators were cheering heartfully so we can congratulate them as well. The competitors agree that the race course was very well prepared and that all of them had the same co nditions so they had their chance to prove their good shape. The mayor of Kranjska Gora , Mr. Jure erjav , has also praised the organizers. He says he is glad that the Vitranc Cup has outgrown the frames of being just a sports event and is , thanks to the E XPLOSION OF FUN , becoming also an entertainment and charity event.
